Caramel and Condensed Milk Cookies
- 500g butter
- 375g sugar
- 1 can condensed milk
- 750g flour
- 1 tbs baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 2 tsp caramel essence
In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in condensed milk. Sift in dry ingredients. Mix well and add essence.
Bake at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
If you have a cookie press, this is a great recipe for it because of how soft the dough it. Otherwise roll the dough into balls and press down with a fork.
These cookies are also great for decorating, with vermicelli, hundreds and thousands or halved cherries.
